ABOUT ED3 INTERNATIONAL
Learning designed for a changing world.
ed3 International is a Montréal-based educational organization that designs transformative learning experiences and initiatives connecting knowledge with people, places, ideas, and real-world contexts.
Working across disciplines, sectors, and borders, ed3 collaborates with educational institutions, communities, organizations, governments, industry, and other partners to create learning that is relevant, purposeful, and responsive to a rapidly changing world.
At the heart of ed3 is a simple belief:
We cannot create transformation. We can create the conditions under which transformation becomes possible.
ABOUT THE FOUNDER
Built on More Than Three Decades in Higher Education
ed3 International was founded by Effie Dracopoulos following more than 30 years at McGill University, where her work has spanned international education, program design and development, teaching, experiential learning, and the development of partnerships with educational institutions, governments, and public agencies around the world. Her career has been deeply international and intercultural, shaped by decades of building relationships and working across cultures, institutions, and countries.
Throughout her career, she has conceived and developed innovative educational programs and learning experiences primarily for university students and adult learners, as well as for educators and other professionals and, more recently, for high school students. Many of these initiatives were created in response to the specific needs of partners and learners—an approach that continues to guide the work of ed3 today. Several went on to become established programs at McGill University’s School of Continuing Studies, some receiving recognition in Québec and across Canada for their excellence and innovation.
Her work has also extended beyond the university into community-based initiatives, including collaboration with the Cree Nation of Chisasibi in Eeyou Istchee, supporting community-led priorities in education, language, culture, heritage, and human development.
